News Corp Australia reaches 16.7 million Australians in July

News Corp Australia reached 16.679 million people in July, putting it 2.6 million ahead of its nearest rival.

News Corp Australia reached 16.679 million people across its digital properties in July, putting it 2.6 million ahead of its nearest competitor, according to the latest Ipsos iris rankings.

The publisher reached 78.4 per cent of online Australians aged 18+. Its sites also recorded an average of 143 browser page views per person and more than 79.9 million video views during the month.

News Corp leads the news category

In the News category, News Corp Australia reached an audience of 13.10 million and generated 514 million browser page views. Users spent an average of 53 minutes per person across its news sites.

The publisher also recorded 62 million video views, representing 55.2 per cent of all video views in the category.

Pippa Leary, managing director and publisher, Free News and Lifestyle, said: “With the transition to the 18+ audience measurement base, it’s pleasing to see we continue to reach close to 80 per cent of Australians each month, confirming that nearly four in five adults turn to News Corp Australia content regularly.”

News.com.au and Taste.com.au post category gains

News.com.au generated 305 million browser page views in July, with an average of 27 page views per person. Visitors spent an average of 32 minutes per person on the site, while video views reached 50 million.

The publication’s Entertainment section led the Entertainment news category with an audience of 4.24 million, alongside 33.2 million browser page views and 9.2 million video views. Its Sport section reached 3.65 million people and recorded 11.2 million video views.

Taste.com.au topped the Lifestyle category, recording an audience of 3.95 million and 52.3 million browser page views. It also delivered an average of 13 browser page views per person.

How the audience is measured

Ipsos iris is Australia’s digital audience measurement currency endorsed by the Interactive Advertising Bureau. The service measures digital consumption among around 21 million Australians aged 18+ across smartphones, PCs, laptops and tablets.

The July 2026 results cover audience reach, browser page views, time spent and video consumption across News Corp Australia’s digital properties.
