Nine was the top primary channel of the night with 26.1% and was also the top network with 18.2%.

The Block producers were promising viewers more confrontation again in last night’s backyard reveal episode. There sure was, but it was more of a petty squabble about Saturday work hours that saw Mitch and Mark policing the access of Tanya and Vito’s builder. Josh and Luke then got in on the act, calling for an audit of Kirstie and Jesse who were spending big on their compound.

Week 10 of The Block was backyards and conflict aside, viewers wanted to see the outside the houses where the budget was $35,000.

Ronnie and Georgia were of course in the running with a big spend and some nice work. “A very good start,” echoed the judges.

Mitch and Mark wowed the judges, but with all the high scores being thrown around, did they really deserve it? “Their Palm Springs moment…I bloody love it,” said Neale Whitaker.

Tanya and Vito came last with an ordinary looking space. Shaynna Blaze thought the layout was all wrong.

Josh and Luke fared well with Neale commenting: “Almost Japanese in its simplicity.” Darren added: “The boys have created a really saleable house.” They had a real puppy in the backyard too!

But it was Kirstie and Jesse who easily had the best backyard, not only because it was the biggest. They managed to win the week, but they still couldn’t crack a 10 from any of the judges. Neale said: “This is insane…my mind is well and truly blown.” Shaynna added: “We are all a bit speechless. I would never want to leave if I lived here.” Neale added: “Kirstie and Jesse are on track to deliver one of the best houses ever on The Block.” They had a hen house in the backyard with chooks too.

The Block Week 10: Scores and spend
