Total TV Ratings, March 17
The top non-news show in the total TV ratings was 10’s Gogglebox, which lifted 27% for a total audience of 879,000.
Home and Away only had one episode air instead of its regular Thursday night triple episode, due to the AFL. It lifted 29% for a total audience of 806,000.
Speaking of the AFL, the first round game between Carlton and Richmond gained 2% for a total audience of 678,000. The nail-biting NRL match between the Storm and the Rabbitohs lifted 9% for a total of 576,000.

Seven has secured its first TV ratings win of the week after registering the #1 primary channel (22.0%) and network (31.0%) last night.
The AFL was the top prime time performer for Seven last night with 401,000 tuning in to see the Carlton Blues defeat the Western Bulldogs. The match had 255,000 tune in from Melbourne making it the top non-news program of the night for that market. The match also had 214,000 tune in on Foxtel.
Also on Seven, Home and Away had 365,000 viewers tune in for the Aussie soap.
On Nine, A Current Affair had 438,000 as the program covered the story of two sons who were demanding answers about the death of their mother in an aged care facility.
The NRL match between the St. George Illawarra Dragons and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks had 278,000 viewers as the Sharks picked apart the dragons to the tune of 36-12. The game had 175,000 watching from Sydney 83,000 viewers from Brisbane. The match also had 192,000 tune in on Foxtel.
On 10, The Project had 200,000 (6:30pm) and 222,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed the US labelling Russia’s actions in Ukraine as a war crime, while also talking to musical legend, Andrew Loyd Webber.
The international football match between the Socceroos and Japan had 309,000 viewers as the Aussies went down in disappointing fashion 2-0.
On the ABC, Foreign Correspondent had 263,000 as the show examined femicide units, which are Mexico’s special teams of detectives, lawyers and doctors set up to investigate violent crimes against women. Q+A was then live from Melbourne with David Speers, with 221,000 tuning in.
The top program on SBS was the season debut of Every Family Has a Secret with 211,000 watching.
