Total TV Ratings, April 9
The ABC’s Father Brown topped the total TV ratings with an audience of 703,000, this was an increase of 16% on its oversight ratings on April 9.
On Seven, the AFL was the top non-news program with 531,000 viewers, while Getaway was the top entertainment program for Nine with 490,000.
The top program on 10 was its coverage of the qualifying for the Formula 1’s Melbourne Grand Prix which had 398,000 viewers plus 398,000 tuning in for the post-race coverage.
Overnight TV Ratings, April 16
Seven was both the top primary channel (20.2%) and network (32.1%) on Easter Saturday thanks to its combination of Seven News (651,000), Border Security: Australia’s Front Line (240,000), and the AFL (181,000).
On Nine, A Current Affair‘s Saturday edition had 414,000 viewers while earlier in the day Getaway was the top entertainment program for the broadcaster with 292,000 viewers, while Space Invaders wasn’t far behind with 282,000.
On 10, the A-League had 41,000 viewers as the Melbourne Victory defeated the Newcastle Jets 2-1.
The top entertainment program of the night came on the ABC with Father Brown having 360,000 viewers.
A rare feat was accomplished by SBS last night after it managed to move up to #4 in the primary channel rankings with 4.9%. The top non-news program for the channel was a repeat of Titantic: Dead Reckoning which had 110,000 viewers.
STV
As per most Saturdays, sport dominated the STV rankings last night. NRL was the top-ranking code with 282,000 tuning in for the Melbourne Storm taking on the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. Earlier in the day 209,000 watched the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles defeat the Gold Coast Titans.
In the AFL, 175,000 watched as the Adelaide Crows played the Richmond Tigers, 146,000 tuned in as St Kilda took on the Gold Coast Suns, and 140,000 tuned in for the Melbourne Demons and Greater Western Sydney.
