The Australian Open has pushed Nine to a huge Friday win that saw the broadcaster produce a 33.3% primary share and a 42.3% network share, which were both 15 points clear of its nearest competitor (Seven).
The Australian Open featured its two biggest drawcards yesterday as Nick Kyrgios featured in doubles competition alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis as they upset the world No. 1 Croatian pair of Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic.
Ash Barty was then served up in primetime as she made short work of Italy’s Camila Giorgi.

Night Session: 1,212,000 (881,000 & 331,000 regional)
Night Session 2: 1,048,000 (786,000 metro & 262,000 regional)
On Seven, the BBL eliminator had 293,000 viewers as the Adelaide Strikers won a fifth game in a row by beating the Hobart Hurricanes by 22 runs.The match had an average of 92,500 viewers across both innings on Fox Cricket.
On 10, the Matildas kicked off their Asian Cup campaign with a 18-0 throttling of Indonesia. The match saw Sam Kerr move past Tim Cahill for the most international goals for Australia. The broadcast had 135,000 viewers.
The top non-news program on the ABC was a repeat of Midsomer Murders with 350,000. While the top non-news program on SBS was a repeat of Ancient Structures with 109,000 viewers.
