Nine was the top primary channel (20.6%) and network (29.5%) last night thanks to its winning combo of A Current Affair, The Block, and Love Island Australia.
A Current Affair had an audience of 737,000 as it told the story of a major auction blunder of Melbourne couple Cate Daniels and Vince Paterno‘s family home which sold for $200,000 less than they expected after a mistake during the bidding by agency Hodges Mentone.
On The Block, it looks like the teams are heading to another body corporate as tensions continue to rise based on how Kirsty and Jesse are affording to work on their house that is bigger than most of the other teams. The main agitators were Josh and Luke who kept calling for an audit, but who wilted when confronted by host Scott Cam. The episode was the top non-news program of the night with 898,000 viewers.
Love Island Australia continued its first week of broadcast with an audience of 292,000 tuning in.
Seven
Home and Away had an audience of 578,000 and was the top non-news program on Seven last night.
This was followed by the SAS Australia reunion special with 474,000. The special saw all 18 celebrity recruits return to base camp one last time to debrief with the DS and talk about their life-changing experience on SAS selection.

ABC
Hard Quiz continues to be an audience magnet for the ABC with an audience of 552,000.
Although this was outdone by the season 13 premiere of Gruen which had 657,000 viewers. Ahead of the premier host Wil Anderson told Mediaweek that the show still doesn’t have a studio audience (or Russel Howcroft in the studio for the foreseeable future), but it does have a year of pandemic experience under its belt.
“I feel like now we’ve had time to find our feet a little bit more and the prevailing thought going into the season is that it’ll probably be a little sharper. We’ll probably try to do what we did with Question Everything and have a small studio audience. We had the crew and the people who work on the show, so it was only about 15 people – they sat around on tables. It’s enough that you’ll remember that you’re not just advertising people talking to each other, you’re talking to an audience.”
