Total TV Ratings, October 5
The Block was the top program in the total TV ratings with 1.450m viewers, an increase of 31% on its overnight TV ratings. The episode featured a lot of financial pitfalls to avoid, with the teams struggling to scrape together a landscaping budget.
Home and Away was the top non-news program for Seven with an average of 943,000 viewers tuning in, an increase of 21%.
The Real Love Boat’s first episode saw an increase of 30% on its overnight ratings, bringing in a final seven-day total of 30%.

Nine has registered another win in the overnight TV ratings survey after having both the top primary channel (22.0%) and network (31.4%) shares last night. This is thanks again to the network’s long-time primetime staple, The Block, which had 752,000 viewers and was the top entertainment program of the night. The episode saw the Domain Listings Challenge take place with an appearance by auction regular Danny Wallis. Afterwards, Remembering Bali – 20 Years On had 245,000 viewers.
On Seven, the launch of Kitchen Nightmares Australia had 459,000 viewers as Colin Fassnidge went to Mumma Jo’s Diner – a tired American-style café in regional NSW. Earlier in the night, Home and Away was the top entertainment program of the night for Seven with 463,000 viewers.
On 10, a new look primetime schedule saw a repeat of Doghouse Australia have 231,000 viewers, before The Real Love Boat in its new timeslot of 8:30pm had 129,000 viewers.
On the ABC, Hard Quiz continues to perform well with a strong 471,000 viewers before Question Everything then followed with 338,000.
The top program on SBS was a repeat of Secret Scotland with 136,000.
