TV Ratings November 24, 2021: Audiences up for Bachelorette as show is down to final two

• Gruen and Hard Quiz continue to deliver for ABC

Total TV Rating for November 17

Gruen was the top program in the total TV ratings after increasing its overnight ratings by 30% to 1.120m viewers. The episode examined tech companies wanting people to buy now and continue to pay later.

Home and Away was the top non-news program for Seven with 1.055m as the show was in its penultimate week.

Hard Quiz was also over a million for the ABC with 1.016m after increasing by 14%.

Love Island Australia was once again the biggest riser, up 164% to 517,000 viewers.

Seven

Seven has ended Nine‘s winning streak in the final week of the TV ratings survey after comfortably finishing with the #1 primary channel (19.8%) and network 30.1% share.

Home and Away was the top entertainment program of the night with 548,000 tuning in for the first two episodes, while 492,000 tuned in for the final ep at 8:00pm. The soap normally airs its tripleheader on a Thursday night but with this being the final week of the show for the year, the three episodes came out a day early. The 90-minute season finale will air tonight.

Code1: The Bourke Street Mall Tragedy followed with 363,000.

Nine

A Current Affair had 621,000 viewers tune in as the show revealed insights into Carolyn Springs man Greg Lynn who is a suspect in Russell Hill and Carol Clay‘s disappearance.

Nine then aired two repeats with Mega Zoo (373,000) at 7:30pm before Emergency at 8:30pm.

The Project had 380,000 tune in from 7:00pm as the show discussed the government’s new religious freedom laws.

The Bachelorette Australia had 332,000 viewers as Brooke went on three special dates with final suitors Darvid, Holly, and Jamie-Lee, before saying goodbye to Holly at the end of their emotional date.

Holly surprised Brooke with a beautiful private show at the Sydney Dance Company. Later, the pair sat down to discuss the roadblocks which arose at hometowns. 

After a heated conversation around non-negotiables involving children and moving cities, both Holly and Brooke broke down as they realised their relationship couldn’t progress any further. 

This episode was up considerably on last week’s 256,000, up 31%, while it was also the #1 program in the 16-39 demo.

Hard Quiz and Gruen continue to perform well on Wednesday nights as they both brought in strong crowds

Hard Quiz (522,000) has been dominant on Wednesday nights all year while Gruen (539,000) has had a great run in the back end of the TV ratings survey which ends this week.

This week’s episode of Gruen saw Sunita Gloster and Emily Taylor join the show as it discussed Lego, salmon, and consent campaigns.
