Nine cruised to another Monday night win last night with a 22.8% primary share and a 29.5% network share. The driving force of this win was Lego Masters which had 1.03m tune in for the winner announcement and 932,000 for the grand finale.
The show was the top non-news program last night and was #1 in all key demos. This was also the top rating episode of the year, beating out the penultimate episode of the series that aired on Sunday night.
David and Gus were named the winners of the third season of the show with the pair taking home $100,000 along with the Lego Masters trophy.
The final three teams had 28 hours to build whatever they wanted, with no limitations and no directives.
Not only did they need to impress Ryan McNaught, the expert “Brickman”, but also 250 members of the public who voted for their favourite build. McNaught was brought to tears due to the builds, saying “Lego is humble…it’s beautiful”.
David and Gus decided on a diorama. Their story, set in a forest, had two deer being preyed upon by a pack of wolves.
