• Lego Masters #1 entertainment program and tops all key demos
• Big Brother brings back three more favourites
Total TV Ratings, May 3
The Voice continues to be the top entertainment program in the total TV ratings, following a viewership of 1,408,000 (up 23%) for its episode which aired on May 3rd. The episode saw the show’s final blind auditions as Rita Ora and Jessica Mauboy fought to fill the remaining places on their teams.
The #2 entertainment program was Lego Masters with 1,036,000, up 33%. The episode saw each team have 10 hours to create a build that functioned from the power of a wind machine.
The top show on 10 was MasterChef Australia which had 738,000 viewers, up 26%. Max Krapivsky (Fan) was sent home following a pressure test cooked up by MasterChef alumni Reynold Poernomo.

Nine has edged out Seven to claim the win for last night’s TV ratings after the broadcaster produced a winning primary channel share of 19.5%, and the top network share with 28.2%. A Current Affair (668,000) provided a strong lead-in for Lego Masters (609,000) which was the top non-news program of the night and #1 in all key demos. The episode was down on last week’s 654,000 viewers as the teams built their creations on a rotating baseplate, revealing a story in three parts encompassing a beginning, middle and end.
Afterwards, Matt Wright’s Wild Territory had 258,000 viewers.
On Seven, 394,000 tuned in for the second episode of Big Brother for the year, as favourites Trevor, Layla and Drew reentered the house. The episode also saw the show’s first eviction of the year with Josh sent packing. The Good Doctor then had 209,000 viewers.
Earlier in the night, Home and Away had a solid 500,000.
On 10, The Project had 268,000 (6:30) and 391,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed Liberal candidate Katherine Deves rolling back her apology over anti-trans comments.
MasterChef Australia then followed with 504,000 viewers, making it 10’s top program of the night. The episode saw Christina (Favourite) go home after struggling with pastry chef Garreth Whitton‘s smoked pecan and butterscotch tart. The episode was up on last week’s 451,000.
The Cheap Seats then returned for the year with a strong audience of 360,000.
The Family Court Murders aired its first episode on the ABC, with an audience of 290,000 tuning in. Speaking of the show, Debi Marshall told Mediaweek: “There wasn’t anything that I as the host and writer and producer was particularly concerned with, but behind the scenes, they were the proverbial ducks paddling furiously. It was very difficult. It was very difficult and it’s a testament to the team that this series is going to air.”

The top program on SBS was Great British Railway Journeys with 203,000 viewers.
