Total TV Ratings, March 18
Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens took out the top spot for the most-watched non-news program on total TV reaching a total audience of 693,000, a lift of 5%.
ABC’s Gardening Australia followed closely, taking out the second spot with 671,000, and an increase of 19%.
The Teacher on ABC experienced the highest lift on overnight with 39%, reaching a total TV audience of 370,000.

Seven topped the network shares with 38.7%, taking a strong lead on Nine with 26.5%. Seven also topped the primary shares with 25.7%, followed by Nine with 17.8%, then ABC with 13.8%.
Seven’s Friday Night AFL coverage was the top non-news program of the night, with 633,000 viewers tuning in for the post-match, followed by 633,000 viewers watching the game between the Sydney Swans and Geelong Cats.
The Swans defeated Geelong with a 17.5 (107) to 10.17 (77) win, but all eyes were on Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin as he kicked his 1000th AFL goal. Thousands of fans swarmed the SCG field to celebrate with Franklin – a tradition famous in the league when a major goalscoring milestone is reached.
Franklin is the sixth man to kick 1,000 career goals in VFL/AFL football and came into Friday night’s game against Geelong on 996 career goals.
Nine’s Friday Night NRL coverage reached an audience of 306,000, with 191,000 of those coming from Sydney. The Roosters took on the Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium, with the Rabbitohs winning 28-16 against their rivals.
Seven’s The Chase was the most-watched entertainment program of the night, reaching 422,000 viewers, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat with 373,000.
Gardening Australia was ABC’s top entertainment program bringing in an audience of 352,000.
Channel 10’s top non-news program was a repeat of the Graham Norton Show, reaching an audience of 180,000.
The top non-news program on SBS was Queen Victoria: Love, Lust and Leadership with 100,000 viewers.

Fox Footy’s Friday Footy on Fox was the most-watched program on subscription TV, reaching an audience of 299,000.
Fox League’s live coverage of the Rabbitohs v Roosters NRL match clocked 255,000 views, followed by Fox Footy’s Sydney v Geelong coverage with 238,000 people tuning in.
Fox Cricket’s 2020 series A Week With Warnie had 69,000 people tune in.
