• MAFS heavy dose of drama pushes Nine to #1
Total TV Ratings, March 17
Married at First Sight (MAFS) was the top program of the total TV ratings with 2.013m, up 54% on its overnight ratings. The episode featured the sixth dinner party of the year, and finally aired the hyped nude photo scandal involving Domenica and Olivia.
The AFL season opener between the Melbourne Demons and the Western Bulldogs had 965,000 viewers.
Hard Quiz had 792,000 viewers, up 16% while Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell had 714,000, up 23%.

Nine has cruised to another primary channel win with 25.8% alongside the #1 network share of the night with 34.0% as Married at First Sight (MAFS) was the top program of the night with 954,000. This was up on last week’s 930,000 and was #1 in all key demos. The episode featured the girls and boys nights that featured returning participants. The main source of drama was the return of Daniel and Carolina who were now in a relationship following their affair.
Under Investigation with Liz Hayes followed with 362,000 viewers, down on last week’s 396,000. The episode followed the trail of the ‘Coward Killer’, John Wayne Glover.
On Seven, Home and Away had 474,000 viewers before the special documentary Warnie had 445,000 as it featured some of the greatest stories of recently deceased cricket legend Shane Warne. The Front Bar had 316,000 viewers, with 201,000 of that tuning in from Melbourne.
On 10, The Project had 237,000 (6:30pm) and 365,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed the shock retirement of Ash Barty.
Ambulance Australia had 323,000 viewers before Gogglebox Australia had 434,000 viewers, with the famed entertainment format airing a day early due to the Socceroos match that is on the primary channel tonight.
The ABC’s comedy lineup continues to perform well with both Hard Quiz (477,000) and Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell (396,000) both bringing in strong audiences.
The top non-news program on SBS was Lose a Stone in 21 days with Micheal Mosley with 106,000 viewers.
