1,296,000 watched Session One of Day Five of the second Ashes test match on Nine, lifting 19% while 982,000 watched Session Two, lifting 26% and 892,000 watched Lunch, up 21%. The Pre-Match was also viewed by 459,000, lifting 10%.
1,115,000 viewed Seven’s Dancing with the Stars. Home and Away’s Emily Weir scored a perfect 40 while Matt Preston bowed out of the competition, up 17%.
731,000 saw 10’s MasterChef Australia as Declan, Brent, Rhiannon, Cath and Malissa competed to secure their spot in the Top Five. Malissa was sent home, lifting 26%.
532,000 also tuned into the premiere of Nine’s Rush with reality star David Genat at the helm, up 25%.

Seven won Sunday night with a primary share of 19.3%; however, Nine took out the top network share with 41.7%. 9Gem has won multi channels with a 20.7% share.
582,000 began their evening with Seven’s Dancing with the Stars. Human Nature’s Phil Burton, actress Virginia Gay and Better Homes & Garden’s Charlie Albone faced their first elimination with Albone twirling himself from the competition. 7News Spotlight then followed with 280,000 watching award-winning investigative reporter Liam Bartlett delving into the latest twist in one of the nation’s most haunting mysteries – the unsolved disappearance of William Tyrell.

Earlier in the afternoon, the Crows took on the Bombers in the AFL. Essendon finished 17.13 (115) to Adelaide’s 15.7 (97) in front of 337,000 viewers.
544,000 watched Nine’s 60 Minutes which detailed how a young flight attendant and famous actor became victims in Australia’s cruellest love trap. Then, 290,000 and 340,000 tuned into the two-part instalment of The Murder of Lyn Dawson which put a spotlight on the life of Lynette Dawson. Even though it looked as though she had a picture-perfect life with her husband Chris, she disappeared without a trace, with the case going on to become one of Australia’s most high-profile murder stories.
722,000 also tuned into Session One, Day Four of the third Ashes Test match. 583,000 watched Lunch and 454,000 tuned in for Session Two while 238,000 watched the Pre-Match. England now trails the Ashes series 2-1 after securing a three-wicket victory.
58,000 also tuned into the Night instalment of Wimbledon and 77,000 watched Late, while earlier in the afternoon, 255,000 watched NRL Sunday Footy. The Titans took on the Dolphins, with the Dolphins winning, 23 – 21.
On 10, The Sunday Project (169,000 (6:30pm) / 251,000 (7pm) welcomed the world’s most famous astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, while also speaking to the brand-new men looking for love on The Bachelors Australia 2023. Wesley, Luke and Ben — who also spoke with the panel via satellite — introduced themselves while telling us all about the new season. Then, on MasterChef Australia, Brent, Cath, Rhiannon and Theo cooked off in an elimination round, while fan-fave Declan was safe in the gantry. Cath was sent home, with the top four now vying for the overall win in Finals Week. 463,000 tuned in.
134,000 watched ABC’s Compass. During the episode, Jewish singles travelled to the Victorian Alps in the hope of finding a love that will enable the continuation of their faith and culture. 299,000 also tuned into ABC’s Video Lab before staying on for Grand Designs Revisited. 234,000 saw Kevin return to see Sue and Martin in Devon, who in 1999, began the renovation of a couple of 16th and 18th-century barns. Now, two decades later, Kevin has found the home lovingly and painstakingly transformed. 162,000 also watched the drama Limbo which followed the investigation of a 20-year-old outback cold case murder by jaded, yet vulnerable detective Travis Hurley (Simon Baker).
Earlier, 112,000 tuned in for a repeat of Bluey, where Muffin couldn’t stop sucking her thumb. She was forced to wear a cone of shame; however, the cone got in her way and she could no longer play ‘sandwich shop’ with Bluey and Bingo.
The highest rating non-news show on SBS was Bettany Hughes’ Treasures of the World for 116,000. Boarding a traditional gullet yacht, historian Professor Bettany Hughes set sail along the coast of Mediterranean Turkey. 87,000 also tuned in for Tour de France: Live Stage 9.
