Total TV Ratings, July 10
The men’s Wimbledon final which saw Nick Kyrgios go down to Novak Djokovic had a huge total TV audience of 1.328m viewers, an increase of 18% on its overnight viewership. The match was the #2 overall program for the night behind only Seven News.
Australian Ninja Warrior was the top entertainment program for the night with 955,000 (up 15%), as it kicked off Grand Final Week.
MasterChef Australia was the top program on 10 with 924,000 viewers, an increase of 16%. The episode saw Keyma sent home after Peter Gilmore of Quay and Bennelong presented a Pressure Test of a savoury dish – raw Abrolhos Island scallop, katsuobushi cream and sea cucumber crackling, and a sweet dessert – “Moo”.
On Seven, 7News Spotlight had 1.046m (up 7%) before Big Brother had 607,000 (up 46%).

Seven has won a tight Sunday night battle in the TV ratings after securing both the top primary channel (20.4%) and network (27.3%) shares. While Seven’s commercial FTA competitors launched new reality TV tentpoles, Seven went back to the future with The Best of ‘Best & Worst of Red Faces’ (592,000) as Daryl Somers presented Hey Hey It’s Saturday’s most popular Red Faces acts of all time. Earlier in the day, Seven’s AFL coverage had 310,000 viewers.
On Nine, Beauty and the Geek launched with an audience of 476,000, the episode saw the Beauties and Geeks get to know each other better before the host, Sophie Monk, announced the pairings. 60 Minutes then followed with 383,000 viewers as Tom Steinfort reported on the story of Joh Deer, who fell overboard when sailing alone to Panama. Earlier in the day Nine’s NRL coverage had 248,000 viewers.

On 10, the series successfully launched one of the most daring TV formats in recent time as Hunted finished the night as the #1 entertainment program with 619,000 viewers as well as being #1 in all key demos. The episode saw the six teams of fugitives dropped off in Federation Square as the chase began. It didn’t take long to catch the first fugitive as one of half of the Queensland sisters-in-law, Michelle, was tracked down by the hunters.

The series premiere of Hunted on 10 did not disappoint as the biggest new show on TV for 2022. Bringing in a robust national audience of 884,000, with a peak of 1.04million viewers, it outran its competition. It was the #1 entertainment show of the night and finished first in its timeslot with a massive 40% share in the key advertising demographic of under 50s.”
On the ABC, Joanna Lumley’s Great Cities of the World took 488,000 viewers to Paris, before Mystery Road: Origin’s third episode had 328,000 viewers.
On SBS, the 15th stage of the Tour de France had 110,000 viewers.
