Total TV Ratings, July 8
The Chase Australia was the top entertainment program in the total TV ratings as Seven’s game show had an audience of 787,000, an increase of 1% on its overnight viewership. Also on Seven, Better Homes and Gardens was the top primetime entertainment program with 659,000 (up 3%).
On Nine, Hot Seat was the network’s top entertainment program with 552,000 (up 0%), while the NRL was the top non-news program in primetime for Nine with 465,000 (up 1%).
The top program on 10 was The Living Room with 405,000, this was an increase of 5% on its overnight ratings.
Overnight TV Ratings July 15
Seven enjoyed a comfortable win in the TV ratings last night after producing both the #1 primary channel (23.7%) and network shares (33,4%). This win was thanks to a winning combination of programs that included Seven News (763,000/725,000), The Chase Australia (426,000), Better Homes and Gardens (410,000), and the network’s AFL coverage (390,000). The AFL had 239,000 tune in from Melbourne, making it the top program in the market.
On Nine, Nine News had 727,000 at 6:00pm and 666,000 at 6:30pm before A Current Affair had one of the strongest viewership of the night with 505,000. Nine’s NRL coverage which saw the Parramatta Eels defeat the New Zealand Warriors had 221,000 viewers, with 134,000 watching from Sydney.
On 10, The Project had 178,000 (6:30pm) and 223,0000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed Covid payments. The football between Manchester United v Melbourne Victory then had 122,000 viewers.
On the ABC, Movin’ to the Country had 310,000 viewers as the program took viewers to Bowraville, near Coffs Harbour.
The top program on SBS was the Tour de France with 128,000 tuning in.
STV, July 15
The top program on Foxtel last night was the NRL match between the North Queensland Cowboys and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks which had 218,000 viewers. This was followed on Fox League by the Parramatta Eels and the New Zealand Warriors which had 187,000 viewers.
On Fox Footy, the AFL match between the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda Saints had 182,000 viewers.
On Fox Sports 505, the 150th rendition of The Open had 70,000 viewers for Round 2 as Australian Cameron Smith finished the day in the lead.
