• MAFS continues to dominate as confession week kicks off
• The Winter Olympics gives Seven close win in primary and network share
• Australian Survivor performs well in key demos, especially 16-39
Total TV Ratings, Feburary 1
MAFS continues to enjoy a big Total TV surge, as the show was the #1 program of the night after registering a 56% increase on its overnight ratings, bringing its total to 1.801m. The episode saw Domenica and Jack‘s ‘dream wedding’ before Ella and Mitch made headlines for how randy they were for each other.
The Voice: Generations had 985,000 viewers for its second and penultimate episode, this was an increase of 21% on its overnight ratings. This wasn’t the top entertainment program on Seven, however, with Home and Away registering 1.109m (up 22%).
Australian Survivor had 917,000 viewers for its second episode of the year, up 45%. The episode was fairly straightforward with Briana being a dead woman walking after her failed power play in the first episode, once her tribe lost the immunity challenge she was an easy vote for her tribe.

Winter Olympics
The Winter Olympics has continued to chug along nicely for Seven, providing a large block of high rating content. Yesterday was no exception as it continued to do well in metro and regional markets, particularly during prime time. The evening broadcast was highlighted by the men’s speed skating gold, luge and curling coverage.

The success of the Winter Olympics has continued to give Seven strong results across the board as the broadcast is once again the #1 primary channel with 23.8%, and also the top network with 33.1%. Home and Away has also been a strong contributor with the soap bringing in 487,000 amidst the second week of its return to screens.
After a big summer of cricket, the Women’s Ashes concluded in front of 54,000 viewers at CitiPower Centre in Melbourne. The Australian’s continued their dominance in the series, winning by eight wickets with 82 balls to spare.

Married at First Sight (MAFS) continues to dominate prime time for Nine, and was once again the top non-news program of the night after registering 913,000 viewers. MAFS was also #1 in all key demos.
The show kicked off confessions week, which saw Andrew tell Holly that he had sex with over 350 women, and Sam and Al participated in the first photo ranking exercise.
The Hundred with Andy Lee then made its season two debut in front of 450,000 viewers. The episode featured Mike Goldstein, Sophie Monk and Tommy Little on the panel as well as a special appearance by Jacqui Lambie.

The Project had 222,000 (6:30pm) and 362,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed Scott Morrison promise of change for women in Canberra and if a huge shake-up to Aussie school hours is on the way. The episode also featured a sneak peek at Jaguar Jonze‘s new music video.
Australian Survivor then had 500,000 viewers and was #2 in the 16-39 demo as Jay was blinded by ‘Queen’ Sandra. It was another big move from the foreign import as Sandra’s alliance was also able to flush Amy‘s new acquired idol.
ABC
On the ABC, Outback Ringer had 242,000 before Catalyst had 171,000.
SBS
The top program on SBS was a repeat of Great Continental Railway Journeys with 195,000 viewers.
