Total TV Ratings, February 17

Home and Away was the top non-news program for evening with 970,000, an increase of 27%. It was paired on Seven’s schedule with the Winter Olympics which had a high of 670,000 tune in for its night session.

Australia Behind Bars was the top non-news program for Nine with 753,000 viewers, up 25%.

On the ABC, Foreign Correspondent had 596,000 viewers for its episode that took viewers to Japan to examine the falling marriage and childbirth rates amongst adults.

Nine has continued its winning streak for the week despite no Married at First Sight (MAFS) on its schedule. Nine had both the #1 primary channel (20.3%) and network (20.3%) last night after running a factual heavy lineup.

 A Current Affair had 582,000 viewers as the program talked to a Kyiv doctor and mum-of-three says she is preparing to leave behind her family to defend her country.

RBT then followed with 447,000 viewers, before Australia Behind Bars had 426,000.

On Seven, with the Winter Olympics in the broadcaster’s rearview mirror, Home and Away’s Thursday night triple-header returned last night. The soap was the top entertainment program of the evening with an average of 532,00 for the first two episodes before the third and final ep had 443,000.

On 10, The Project had 224,000 (6:30pm) and 344,000 (7:00pm) as the program covered the ongoing tensions in Ukraine and discussed Probuild going into administration. 

First Dates Australia then returned to Aussie screens on its new home of Channel 10. The show’s first episode had an audience of 334,000. 

On the ABC, 7:30 had a strong audience of 569,000 as it discussed the ongoing situation in Ukraine before Foreign Correspondent took 330,000 viewers to the Democratic Republic of Congo to look at the perils of mining of cobalt. Q+A then had 237,000 for its episode which was live from Melbourne with David Speers.

The top non-news program on SBS was Scenic Coastal Walks with Kate Humble with 129,000 viewers.
