Total TV Ratings, August 18
Topping the evening ratings overall was Channel Seven’s Seven News, with 1,392,000, reporting a 3% lift on overnight ratings.
Continuing the trend of the night, Seven saw views for Home and Away go up by 22%, and The Front Bar up by 16%.
News programs across Seven, Nine and ABC took the top spots of the night, with Nine’s Thursday night NRL live broadcast getting an audience of 632,000, an increase of 10%.

Nine was the top primary channel last night with a share of 21.6%, it was also the top network with a share of 31.1%. A Current Affair was a strong performer for the broadcaster, with an audience of 608,000 tuning in as the program featured families with unfinished homes who spoke out after builder Orcle Homes went out of business.
The NRL then followed with 362,000 tuning in as the Parramtta Eels throttled the Brisbane Broncos. The match was both the top non-news program in Sydney (192,000) and Brisbane (139,000).
On Seven, the first two episodes of Home and Away had an average of 336,000 before the third and final episode of the night had 316,000. The season opener of the AFLW between Carlton and Collingwood had 118,000 viewers. The Front Bar was the top non-news program in Melbourne with 192,000 of its 286,000 viewers coming from the market.
On 10, Gogglebox was the top primetime entertainment program of the night with 450,000 tuning in. Earlier, Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod had 307,000.
On the ABC, Foreign Correspondent had 281,000 viewers as it went to West Africa. Q+A followed with 182,000.
The top program on SBS was The World’s Most Scenic River Journeys with 166,000.
