Seven’s AFL: Friday Night Football was the most viewed non-news program on total TV reaching a total audience of 725,000 with an increase of 1%.

Seven also claimed the second top spot with The Chase reaching a total TV audience of 671,000 and a lift of 2%.

ABC’s Gardening Australia experienced a lift of 15% to reach an audience of 641,000, while The Teacher had the highest lift on overnight with 24% and a total audience of 164,000.

Seven won both the network and primary shares, with 33.9% and 27.9% respectively, followed by Nine with a network share of 27.9% and primary share of 19.7%.

Seven’s Friday Night AFL coverage was the top non-news program of the night, with 477,000 viewers as Geelong took on Brisbane at the GMHBA Stadium. 246,000 Melbourne viewers tuned in to watch the Geelong Cats claim its 13th straight win at the stadium with a 10-point victory over Brisbane Lions, winning 11.14 (80) to 11.4(70).

The match was the most-watched program amongst the 16-39 and 18-49 demographics.

Nine’s Friday Night NRL coverage clocked 314,000 viewers, with 165,000 from Sydney as The Sydney Roosters took on the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, winning 24-20. Nine’s top entertainment program was Hot Seat with 378,000 views.

378,000 people tuned in to watch ABC’s top non-new program of the night, Gardening Australia.

10 aired episode one of the latest season of The Living Room which brought in 252,000 viewers. In the first episode back, Dr Chris joined Miguel for a tour of Melbourne, while, Baz and Amanda headed out to help a local soccer club.

The top non-news program on SBS was Britain’s Secret Islands with 154,000 views.

Fox League also aired the Broncos v Roosters match which clocked 257,000 views, followed by Fox Footy’s live Geelong v Brisbane coverage, reaching 256,000.

The Warriors v Cowboys match on Fox League brought in 196,000 as the Warriors won 25-24.

Fox Sports 506 Supercars Podium: Melbourne Race had 122,000 views, Race 6 clocked 112,000, F1: Australia Practice 2 had 101,000 and Practice 1 reached 86,000 viewers.
