• Seven continues to rack up wins thanks to The Voice
• Lego Masters continues to perform well with young demos
Total TV Ratings, April 18
The Voice (1,532,000) has held off a surging Lego Masters (1,315,000) to finish as the #1 entertainment program in the total TV ratings on a night where each commercial station launched new primetime tentpole programming. The Voice was up by 21% while Lego Masters was up by 42% as both programs were trailed by MasterChef Australia which had 888,000 tune in for its launch, an increase of 28%.

Seven has continued to cash in on the success of another successful launch of The Voice as the show finished as the #1 entertainment program for the night with 767,000 viewers, pushing the broadcaster to the #1 primary channel (24.4%) and network (31.9%). The episode saw the blind auditions continue as six artists were signed up by the coaches, including Freddie Bailey who fulfilled his dream to perform with Keith Urban. The episode was down on last Monday’s launch of 843,000 viewers.
Earlier in the day, Seven’s coverage of the ANZAC Day AFL clash between Essendon and Collingwood had 614,000 viewers.

On Nine, Lego Masters had 599,000 viewers and was the top entertainment program in all key demos. The episode saw the teams have 10 hours to build something set to mini-fig scale that is whole on one side and when spun around, revealed a world. The episode was down on its launch last Monday of 672,000.
Earlier in the day the classic ANZAC Day matchup between the Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra Dragons had 332,000 viewers.
On 10, The Project had 263,000 (6:30pm) and 359,000 (7:00pm) as the program covered the nation’s remembrance of ANZAC Day. MasterChef Australia then had 438,000 as a jaffa and crispy noodles saw Chris (fan) be the first contestant eliminated for the season. The episode was down on last week’s 545,000 launch.
On the ABC, Australian Story had 491,000 on its episode focused on billionaires Nicola Forrest and her husband Andrew giving away most of their mining fortune to charity. This was followed by Four Corners (459,000) and Media Watch (419,000).
The top non-news show on SBS was Britain by Beach with 154,000 viewers.
