101 is the amount of points the Wallabies need to pile on the Pumas in order to snatch the Tri Nations Cup from the All Blacks when they take on Argentina in the final game of the Tri Nations on 10 and Fox Sports with coverage from 7 pm.
Only once before have the Wallabies posted 100+ points following a 142-0 walloping of Namibia at the 2003 World Cup.
New Zealand’s 38-0 bonus-point victory over the Pumas in Newcastle last Saturday have left the Wallabies and Argentina to go through the motions in this weekend’s clash, but Australia will still want to finish the year on a high.
10 Sport’s Scott Mackinnon will host the broadcast, along with Gordon Bray, Wallaby legend and 10 News Firstsport presenter, Matt Burke and bringing you all the action direct from the sideline, will be former Wallaby Morgan Turinui.
Fox Sports will deliver analysis and coverage of the tournament with Greg Clark to call the action alongside Wallabies legends Tim Horan, George Gregan and Justin Harrison as well as Phil Kearns, Rod Kafer, Greg Martin, All Blacks great Andrew Mehrtens and host Tony Squires.
This will be the final Wallabies game on Fox Sports ending a relationship that has gone on for over 20 years, with Rugby Australia signing a broadcast deal with Nine and its online platform Stan.
The launch of Stan Sport will enable Nine to deliver a “whole of television” approach to sports as it offers extensive live and on-demand coverage to Stan subscribers, as well as making select premium events available on Nine’s FTA television channels. The move will allow Nine to choose the appropriate platform for its various sports offering while also enabling our partners to fulfil their growth ambitions.
