The 2022 Charles Brownlow Medal Count is primed to be one of the most thrilling of recent times with Channel Seven having all bases covered on Sunday, 18th of September at 7:00 pm when the winner of the AFL’s highest individual honour is declared.
In a year with no outright favourite, the Brownlow race appears destined for a blanket finish, with leading contenders Lachie Neale, Andrew Brayshaw, Clayton Oliver and Patrick Cripps almost impossible to split.
The coverage of the ceremony will be hosted by Hamish McLachlan and Rebecca Maddern, celebrating the first Brownlow Medal at the Crown Palladium since 2019.
Sunday night’s festivities kick off with the Brownlow Medal Red Carpet, with Abbey Gelmi, Dale Thomas and Emma Freedman set to cover all the glitz and glamour.
Managing director Seven Melbourne and head of network sport, Lewis Martin said, “As we look forward to another Brownlow Medal count after an outstanding 2022 season, Seven is primed and ready to deliver a stellar broadcast of football’s night of nights.
“Much like we saw in 2021, this year’s Brownlow field is wide open, guaranteeing a thrilling count right down to the last moment, when Gillon McLachlan reads the winner’s name.
“With the cooperation of the entire network, we’ve assembled a team that will bring viewers all the night’s biggest stories,” he said.
The Brownlow Medal marks the start of the year’s biggest week of football on Seven as Australia counts down to the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, 24 September.
