Summer TV Ratings November 29, 2021: Snackmasters debuts as #1 entertainment show

Celebrity MasterChef’s winner announcement was the top program in the total TV ratings after its finale registered 1.222m viewers, an increase of 12%. The finale saw Nick Riewoldt, Collette Dinnigan and Tilly Ramsay as the final three celeb chefs left in the kitchen. The last test was set by Martin Benn who revealed his Metropolis dessert, telling the celebrities that the difficulty was 20 out of 10. Riewoldt won $100,000 for Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision. The episode averaged 1.031m viewers.

Home and Away was the top non-news program on Seven with 1.048m as the soap kicked off its final week of the year.

Big Brother VIP had 602,000 viewers, an increase of 23% for its penultimate episode.

The big riser was Love Island Australia with its 512,000 viewers reflecting an increase of 129%.

Overnight TV Ratings November 29

Nine has continued to pick up wins post TV ratings survey with its 21.9% primary share and 29.8% network share both #1 last night. This was thanks in part to the series premiere of Snackmasters which had 603,000 viewers. The show saw hosts Scott Pickett and Poh Ling Yeow keep the chefs on track while food detective Yvie Jones went behind the scenes and visited the factories to find out how the snacks are made.

Seven’s lineup has had a heavy factual reality vibe to it with Border Security: Australia’s Front Line airing at 7:30pm with 449,000 viewers, followed by two episodes of Motorway Patrol with 396,000 and 370,000 before US drama 9-1-1 aired back to back episodes bringing in 267,000 and 215,000 viewers.

The Project had 207,000 (6:30pm) and 370,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed if the new Covid variant would affect international borders reopening. NCIS Hawaii then had 222,000 viewers.

On the ABC a repeat of Australian Story had 456,000 before 329,000 tuned in for Universe with Brian Cox. Media Watch followed with 350,000 viewers.
