Realtime media monitoring company Streem has appointed Jack McLintock to the new role of media relations manager.
McLintock was previously corporate and government affairs manager at Seven West Media, and also has several years’ experience working in federal politics.
Streem CEO Elgar Welch said McLintock’s strong media industry and corporate affairs experience was a key factor in his appointment.
“There’s two big things happening at Streem. We’re hiring more people from the industry we service. And that’s being driven by rapid growth in the rest of the business, which means how we position Streem, recruit and keep our teams up to date becomes even more essential.
“Jack has a strong record of successful communications and corporate affairs management, and his experience in the media industry stands him in good stead.”
McLintock said he was attracted to Streem because of its reputation as an innovator.
“Streem is known throughout the communications industry as the go-to for media monitoring, insights and reporting, which is why it’s continuing to capture a greater share of the market,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to combining my media industry experience and knowledge with the second-to-none data and insights that Streem provides, to help supercharge our brand and presence in the market.”
The company has accelerated its growth over the last 12 months, onboarding its largest volume of customers since launch in 2017, signing an enhanced Copyright Agency agreement that delivers more revenue to publishers, and preparing to launch new products later this month.
McLintock is the latest in a string of recent appointments that includes Anushka Aghaian joining as product lead in February and Hayley Beullens coming on board as digital marketing lead in March.
He will report to Conal Hanna, who joined Streem in early 2019 and now moves to leading Streem’s overall corporate affairs function, taking on the role of corporate affairs lead.
