NewsLifeMedia CEO Nicole Sheffield has announced the appointment of Robin Parkes as chief operating officer.
In this newly created position, Parkes will apply her extensive media and marketing experience to drive operational efficiencies and the growth of business units. Reporting to Sheffield, the role is effective from Monday 21 September.
Sheffield said: “Robin is a highly experienced and respected media executive who is a tremendous asset to our business. She will be responsible for strategic execution and operational efficiencies across brand, audience development and profitability. As the transformation and growth of our business continues this is an important appointment for the ongoing evolution of NewsLifeMedia.
“Robin’s impressive media and content background will be integral to driving our goals and enhancing our market-leading position as we expand into new markets and launch innovative new products and services.”
Parkes is a senior media executive who has demonstrated experience in leadership and strategy across both traditional and digital media. Previously she has held a number of senior leadership positions, most recently as general manager, marketing operations, Telstra. Prior to this she was the inaugural CEO of Freeview TV, and executive director of Magazine Publishers Australia. Parkes holds an MBA from UNE.
