QMS has promoted Ben Gibb to the newly created role of Managing Director – New Zealand, putting him in charge of the digital outdoor company's strategy and operations across the market.

Gibb moves into the top New Zealand role after serving as QMS' National Sales Director, NZ. His appointment is effective immediately as the company expands its Out of Home (OOH) footprint across Aotearoa.

QMS backs Gibb to lead its next growth phase

Gibb has more than 20 years of media experience spanning Out of Home, television, digital and publishing. Before QMS, he held senior leadership roles at Sky New Zealand, oOh!media, Adshel and Yahoo.

John O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer at QMS, said Gibb was well placed to lead the business as it pursues its strategic objectives in New Zealand.

“He is a highly respected operator who brings a calm, measured and unifying influence to the team. Since joining QMS, Ben has demonstrated an incredible ability to empower our people, strengthen our culture, and deliver outstanding results,” O’Neill said.

“His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to unlock the full potential of our multi-format network across New Zealand.”

Network expansion gathers pace

The promotion comes as QMS expands its New Zealand network, including new assets connected with Auckland's City Rail Link opening and its new Auckland street furniture network.

QMS also launched its brand in New Zealand earlier this year, bringing its local assets together under a single offering.

Gibb said: “It’s a really exciting time to be at QMS as we rapidly expand our network with new premium assets including the much anticipated CRL opening and our new Auckland Street Furniture network.”

“I look forward to leading our business forward, aligning our team, and continuing to elevate how we partner with media agencies and advertisers to deliver innovative, high-impact campaigns across the country.”
