Pinterest has announced the appointment of Adam King as sales manager for Australia and New Zealand.
King joins the image-sharing and social media service to lead the emerging business focused on connecting Financial Services, Tech, Telco, Government and Entertainment industries with their audiences on the platform.
King joins Pinterest from TikTok, where he spent the last two and a half years leading TikTok’s growth team. Before his time at the short-form video hosting service, King worked at Acast and Spotify, both in the UK and Australia.
Last week, King announced his departure from TikTok in a LinkedIn post. He said: “After three offices, two years and one epic experience, last week my journey at #tiktok officially came to an end. It’s not every day you get the opportunity to help build a team from the ground up at a company moving as fast as TikTok.
“Big thanks to everyone who supported me, partnered with the business and was a part of the ride!
“Special mention to Brett Armstrong for bringing me onboard, Ted Shelton for the ongoing support and my partners in crime Amy Leicht and Tanaya Oxley – absolute rockstars! As for me, I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter soon!” he wrote at the time.
