Jason Pellegrino, Managing Director, Google Australia
The bigger you are the more competitors you upset and that is certainly the case for the company now called Alphabet though it remains better known for its Google search business. Pellegrino is a Google Australia veteran and has worked for the business since 2008 – first as head of strategy and sales operations, then sales director, MD of APAC sales operation and strategy and finally as MD of Google Australia and New Zealand from May 2016. “My key focus is bringing the best of Google to Australian businesses and helping them to make the most of these tools,” Pellegrino recently told Fairfax Media. “This is not about building new products.” The business is reportedly to fund a relocation to the former White Bay power station in Sydney’s inner west, something that the Google boss has yet to confirm.
