JCDecaux New Zealand has announced the appointment of Mike Brown to the role of account director – direct.
Brown brings over two decades of outdoor media sales experience to JCDecaux to further strengthen its growing direct sales team.
The newly appointed account director spent the last 20+ years helping some of New Zealand’s largest businesses achieve their business and marketing goals across a diverse mix of media channels, with a focus on – and a passion for – Out-of-Home.
Brown joins JCDecaux from MediaWorks NZ where he spent over two and a half years as national sales manager.
Brown previously spent over nine years at iSite Media Limited as national direct sales manager, and almost two years as national sales manager for Val Morgan.
Mike Watkins, country head JCDecaux New Zealand, said: “JCDecaux New Zealand’s direct sales team is going from strength to strength as we continue to gain market share. Mike Brown’s extensive experience and connections will be invaluable as we continue to grow our New Zealand direct sales client portfolio.
“Mike is a highly respected figure within the New Zealand Out-of-Home industry and we are delighted to bring him and his well-known passion and energy into the JCDecaux family,” Watkins added.
Brown said of his new role: “Globally, JCDecaux has been at the forefront of the development and innovation we’ve seen in the Out-of-Home industry over the last few years. I’m thrilled to be a part of JCDecaux’s future as they help drive the industry forward in New Zealand.”
This comes after JCDecaux New Zealand ran its first roadside Digital Large format network back in March with TVNZ.
TVNZ’s launch campaign ran for three weeks in six main metro markets – Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton and Bay of Plenty – across 35 Digital Large Format sites to promote the new series of BAFTA and EMMY award-winning TV drama Killing Eve.
