The company formerly known as Weight Watchers, now WW, this morning announced breakfast radio host Jackie O as a new ambassador.
The official news was revealed first on news.com.au at 7am and then later on Seven’s Sunrise program, with Jackie’s KIIS FM co-host Kyle Sandilands questioning why she didn’t break the news first to her KIIS FM family.
Before the announcement on Sunrise, the breakfast show previewed the new real estate show co-produced by the King Kyle Group, Luxe Listings. Sunrise predicted the series, coming to Amazon Prime Video next month, could be a hit.
In the WW announcement, the radio presenter and TV judge, real name Jackie Henderson, revealed she would be using the WW program to help her with a weight loss goal, hoping to shed 10-15 kg. The news arrived for KIIS FM listeners after 8am where she admitted she approached WW about the role.
In the interview with news.com.au, Jackie revealed she joined WW back in April. She didn’t reveal how much weight she had lost so far, but noted she felt amazing: “I even went to Kyle’s (50th) birthday party the other week and got dressed up. I probably would have backed out of doing that before this.”
In a statement released by WW, Jackie said: “I realised I’d stopped wanting to leave the house and was avoiding social outings because I just didn’t feel well, motivated or confident anymore. I joined WW so that I can feel healthier, be more active, feel good about myself, and fit into my old clothes again. It’s also important to me that I set a good example for my daughter about a healthy lifestyle and approach to eating.”
Over the years Jackie, along with Kyle, have shared with listeners their attempts at different times to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle.
Jackie added: “Over the years, I’ve tried every diet under the sun, from the cabbage soup diet to the lemon detox diet, and none were healthy or endurable long term. WW is different as it offers a relaxed and modern approach to weight loss that’s centred around your lifestyle and what works for you, rather than starving yourself trying to lose the weight – I was thrilled to learn I could still eat carbs! It feels so easy, I can’t wait to tell everyone about it!”
Kyle was talking to Jackie O this morning from his North Queensland winter home, boasting he was working in a climate with a maximum temperature close to 10 degrees warmer than Sydney’s today. Kyle moved his Los Angeles home studio to Port Douglas after Covid stopped Australians from overseas travel last year.
Earlier this month KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O Show was ranked #1FM breakfast in Sydney for the nineteenth consecutive survey and with more listeners than any other breakfast show in Australia. The radio duo also posted their best-ever share of 12.9% since they started hosting breakfast radio on 2Day FM.

In the podcast, recorded this year inside the KIIS FM breakfast studio, Jackie talks about sharing her private life, Kyle’s sex obsession, and will she stay in radio?
