IAB Australia appoints Adele Wieser as chair of the IAB Executive Technology Council

IAB Australia has announced the appointment of Adele Wieser, regional managing director, APAC, Index Exchange, has been appointed as the chair of its Executive Technology Council (ETC) effective immediately.
 
Wieser, who has replaced Angus Keene, will also become the ETC representative on the IAB Australia board.
 
The IAB Executive Technology Council was launched in 2017 to take full advantage of the IAB’s scale, competencies, and member base to identify and address critical issues in advertising technology innovation.

It has four main priority projects for 2023: supporting IAB’s successful mentorship program; assisting the industry prepare for privacy changes and signal loss; continuing cross industry work on programmatic transparency as well as continuing to support the work of other IAB councils and provide technical support for the IAB Board. 

The ETC includes representatives from media and technology companies including Carsales, Cartology, DoubleVerify, Google, Index Exchange, InMobi, Integral Ad Science, Magnite, Microsoft Advertising, News Corp, Nine, Pinterest, PlaygroundXYZ, PubMatic, Quantcast, REA, Seven, Spotify, The Guardian, The Trade Desk, Twitter, Xandr and Yahoo! 

Gai Le Roy, CEO of IAB Australia, said: “The Executive Technology Council brings together the most senior ad tech leaders in the Australian market, and it is a testament to Adele’s knowledge, experience, and leadership that she has been chosen by her peers to lead this group. Her input into the IAB Board on behalf of the ETC and independent ad tech will be invaluable.”
