Gumtree has appointed G Squared to drive search and deliver improved customer experiences across the platform, following a multi-agency competitive pitch.
The Sydney-based digital consultancy will manage search engine optimisation through organic search, as well as identify opportunities across key verticals to grow site traffic and conversions.
The online marketplace attracts more than six million unique users in Australia each month and connects buyers and sellers in local communities. With 45,000 new listings every day across key categories, including home & garden, baby & children, sport & fitness, clothing & jewellery and jobs

This win comes after G Squared welcomed the senior appointments of Steph Hasouros and Ishita Sehdev to strengthen its paid media and search offerings further, following continued new business growth.
Steph Hasouros, who steps into the role of head of paid media, overseeing the paid media team and its growth. She will also manage all client strategies and work closely with the agency’s paid media consultants to drive strong results, improve skillsets, and broaden its paid media offering.
Ishita Sehdev joins as manager of the SEO consulting team. She was the former head of SEO at Reef Digital for more than six years and has also worked at Glasshat and Search Academy.
