Foxtel and Kayo Sports have celebrated a bumper season of cricket coverage through FOX CRICKET.

The coverage included Allan Border: My Story, the Foxtel Group’s highest-rating documentary series of all time; the Test series against South Africa, the second highest on record; and BBL12 audiences, up 20% year-on-year.

Key highlights included a total audience of 620,000 watched David Warner score his double century during the third session of day 2 of the Boxing Day Test – the #1 Test session of all time for the Foxtel Group.

Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test also averaged 554,000 viewers, the #1 Test cricket day of all time.

There was also more than 36 million live match viewing hours, including the West Indies Test series. The South Africa series average audience of 423,000 was the second highest on record.

After 35 games, BBL12 average audiences of 239,000 are up 20% on BBL 11.

The documentary, Allan Border: My Story, was the Foxtel Group’s highest rating documentary series ever, with an audience of 792,000 for episode one.

Steve Crawley
, Fox Sports executive director,  said: “What an incredible Summer of Cricket on Foxtel and Kayo Sports with the Australia v South Africa Test Series and the BBL in particular proving more than popular with our audiences.

“And then you add the three-part Allan Border: My Story series (the Foxtel Group’s highest rating documentary series ever) and the signing of our new commentator David Warner, we have a lot to celebrate.”

“Warner’s double century in his 100th Test at the Boxing Day Match has already become part of Australian sporting lore. And then he waltzes in the next morning of play, sits down on the Fox Cricket panel for 15 minutes and happily explains the unexplainable in yet another exclusive insight. And all that sits on top of a new seven-year rights deal with Cricket Australia!”

Fox Sports Australia’s coverage of the summer of cricket continues, with every ball of every match of the remainder of BBL 12 available on Foxtel and Kayo Sports, with a host of Australian Test stars returning to their clubs including David Warner, Steve Smith, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Alex Carey and Travis Head.

Foxtel and Kayo Sports will also broadcast the women’s ODI and T20I series between Australia and Pakistan with the first ODI taking place on Monday 16 January in Brisbane.

The Australian Women’s T20 side’s title defence at the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which takes place in South Africa from 11 February, will also be available exclusively on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
