Foxtel has commissioned a sixth season of Australian period drama A Place To Call Home. It will begin filming in early 2018.

It’s a very special Australian story crafted by series creator Bevan Lee and our producing partners Seven Studios. There are still some stories involving our central characters that are waiting to be told and I think Season 6 will build on the incredible success that we are enjoying with the current season on air.”
The cast for A Place To Call Home includes award-winning actresses Marta Dusseldorp and Noni Hazlehurst, along with Brett Climo, Abby Earl, Craig Hall, Sara Wiseman, Jenni Baird, Tim Draxl, Frankie J Holden, Deborah Kennedy, Arianwen Parkes-Lockwood and David Berry.
The TV Week Logie Award Winning Most Outstanding Drama continues to win local ratings, while also gathering international fans and critical acclaim across 120 countries worldwide.
Season 5 was awarded an Australian Production Design Guild award for Costume Design (Lisa Meagher) and an AACTA Award for Best Production Design in Television (Fiona Donovan).
The series also won a 2017 American Public Television Award for Program Excellence and is the number one program on Acorn (US streaming service).
