Former magazine editors Karen McCartney (pictured L) and Trudi Jenkins (pictured R) are bringing their editorial expertise to the creative content space via their new business Edit’d Studio which launches this week.
Jenkins told Mediaweek: “As ex-editors with recent commercial successes in digital, we feel well placed to help brands in their search for original content.
“As a partnership with access to a network of Australia’s best creative talent, we are excited to work closely with premium lifestyle brands that will benefit from our experience in the fields of food, wine, travel, homewares, interiors and architecture.”
A magazine editor with 20 year’s experience in lifestyle media, Trudi Jenkins is the former editor-in-chief of delicious. magazine. She has also edited Vogue Entertaining + Travel, MasterChef Magazine and Sunday Life magazine and, prior to that, was the arts editor of The Sun-Herald.
Jenkin’s most recent experience has been in the digital space, as the co-founder and editorial director of hardtofind.com.au, an award-winning curated marketing platform established in 2008.
Karen McCartney is best known for her work in the world of interiors, architecture, design and homewares across print media (editing marie claire lifestyle and Inside Out magazines) and more recently as the editorial director of Temple & Webster, driving their award-winning blog. McCartney has also written the architecture books “Iconic Australian Houses” and “Superhouse”.
