Foxtel Media has today announced the promotion of Chris Oxley to the role of national head of digital sales. Oxley, a seasoned media professional, has been the head of programmatic at Foxtel Media for the past two years and is an expert with key insights into all forms of programmatic media including Programmatic TV (PTV), Broadcast Video On Demand (BVOD) and Connected TV (CTV).
Reporting to Nev Hasan, Foxtel Media’s executive director of agency sales, Oxley’s new role will see him creating, implementing and executing strategic digital sales plans across the business. He will also be exploring new markets that could benefit from Foxtel Media’s Addressable Go launch and has been tasked with identifying key categories that are ripe for growth as Australia emerges from the shadows of the pandemic.
Oxley first joined Foxtel Media (then MCN) as national youth and music sales manager in 2011 and has been a crucial part of the business for almost 10 years.
Hasan said that the business is incredibly fortunate to have had Oxley’s expertise and leadership for many years.
“I am confident that Chris will embrace this new position whole-heartedly, as he has done throughout his incredible tenure with us. The media marketing industry is facing a new frontier as Australia moves to the post-COVID economic recovery and Chris and his team will play a key role in helping Foxtel Media to embrace the opportunity of digital growth. He’ll also be integral in helping our agency and brand partners unlock the potential of the Foxtel Group digital platform and craft highly effective campaigns.”
Commenting on his new position, Oxley added, “I am thrilled to be continuing my journey at Foxtel Media at this exciting time in our industry. I look forward to working with my talented team to form new ties with growth markets, while continuing to innovate and provide unique digital advertising opportunities for our existing partners.”
