Andrew Bogut bets big on Athoz as sports tech hits Australia
The NBA champion is backing Athoz as it signs teams across the AFL, NRL and NBL.

NBA champion Andrew Bogut has made a strategic investment in athlete intelligence platform Athoz as the company pushes into Australia’s biggest professional sporting leagues.
Athoz said it has signed agreements with multiple organisations across the AFL, NRL and NBL. Bogut will also join the company as a strategic partner in Australia, although the size of his investment has not been disclosed.
Athoz targets Australian professional sport
Athoz brings performance and athlete data into a central platform designed to help teams evaluate talent, monitor player readiness and make roster decisions. Its Australian expansion puts the technology in front of clubs across three of the country’s major sporting competitions.
The company has not named the individual teams involved in the agreements.
Robert de Wolff, CEO of Athoz, said: “Athoz is dedicated to giving teams the intelligence they need to build winning rosters, and expanding into Australia is a major milestone for our platform.

“Having an NBA Champion and elite athlete like Andrew Bogut recognize that value and be instrumental in introducing our technology to these top-tier leagues is incredibly validating.”
Bogut backs sports intelligence push
Bogut said the platform could give Australian professional teams another layer of information when assessing athletes and building rosters.
“When I first heard about Athoz, I knew right away it would be a must-have for all Australian sports teams and leagues,” Bogut said.
“Teams in the NRL, NBL, AFL and so on already operate at an incredibly high level but giving them access to this caliber of personalized team-level intelligence is a game-changer. It will directly raise their performance standards, fast, and help them maximize every athlete's potential and build even more dominant rosters.”
Expansion follows Optimum Scouting acquisition
The Australian rollout follows Athoz’s acquisition of Optimum Scouting, which expanded the company’s athlete evaluation capabilities and international ambitions.
Athoz positions its platform as a tool for athletic departments and professional teams to combine performance data with athlete, team and organisation-level insights.
