Seven has won a fourth consecutive night of TV ratings as it broadcast its fourth consecutive night of AFL in primetime to finish off a long weekend of football. Almost, one more match today as Melbourne plays Collingwood at the SCG.
While Nine was a big winner in Sydney, Seven took the points in Melbourne and Adelaide, also in Perth where 7mate carried the late game featuring the West Coast Eagles and subsequently ranked #1.
The AFL saw the Perth team upset the Tigers with a narrow win. The metro audience was 570,000 with 309,000 in Melbourne and 143,000 in Perth.
Nine had the #1 News with 951,000 and the #1 entertainment show in The Celebrity Apprentice on 636,000/718,000. Sadness though as Wippa was fired, but not before he raised close to $200,000 for his charity.
On 10 The Sunday Project was on 403,000 followed by a long weekend Sunday episode of MasterChef Australia on 558,000.
The final series of Jack Irish debuted on ABC at 8.30pm with 521,000. Spicks and Specks preceded it on 523,000.
The Real Hunt for Red October played on SBS to 164,000.
