TV ratings: Seven
An AFL semi-final and the penultimate evening of the Paralympics secured Seven another first place finish. Seven again had the #1 primary channel, the leading network share and the biggest TV ratings for its multichannels 7mate (7.3%) and 7TWO (4.0%).
The AFL semi-final meeting of the Western Bulldogs and Brisbane Lions lived up to pre-match expectations with the scores level in the final minutes of the game. The Bulldogs managed to score a point and then hang on to the narrowest of victories giving them a place in a preliminary final next weekend against Port Adelaide. The metro audience was 835,000 with 471,000 in Melbourne. The audience in Brisbane was 88,000, almost double the number watching the NRL on Nine.
Nine
The last Saturday night of the regular NRL season featured South Sydney taking the points for the Nine metro audience of 243,000. Most of them were in Sydney of course – 177,000 – with 49,000 in Brisbane.

10 News First found a spot in the top 10 with the 5pm bulletin with 306,000 watching.
The only other show on the network to crack to the top 20 was a repeat episode of The Dog House on 226,000.
ABC
The Durrells was on 335,000 at 7.30pm followed by The Trial of Christine Keeler with 193,000.
SBS
The biggest audience after World News on 154,000 was Castles with 135,000.
