Seven’s Saturday night football audience didn’t make it to half a million this week, but the audience of 429,000 was enough push the primary channel and the combined network share well ahead of all other broadcasters to win the TV ratings.
Seven
Seven News Saturday pushed above 800,000 to win the timeslot.
Port Adelaide and Western Bulldogs clashed in the Saturday night broadcast AFL match. It had the chance of a close finish at one stage during the last quarter, but the Bulldogs ended up clear winners much to the disappointment of the home crowd watching live and on TV. That TV audience was 429,000 with 213,000 in Melbourne and 93,000 in Adelaide.
Nine
Nine News Saturday trailed Seven News across the five metro markets, yet the bulletins in Sydney and Melbourne won their timeslots.
A Current Affair screened in three markets with 221,000 watching.
Filling the space from 7pm in Sydney and Brisbane was Saturday night NRL. With no Thursday Night Football, Nine got the chance to broadcast a Saturday night clash. Roosters played Cowboys as part of the Magic Round with 220,000 watching.
10
The Dog House managed to grow its audience week-on-week, edging higher to 278,000 to be well positioned in the Saturday TV ratings in the top 10.
ABC
The Durrells was again just over 250,000 in the 7.30pm timeslot.

SBS
A repeat episode of World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys was the #1 program on the channel with 141,000. The first 30 minutes of SBS World News was on 136,000.
