Seven was a clear Saturday TV ratings champ with a winning primary share of 26.6%, a multichannel champ in 7mate on 6.5% and a network share well ahead of all competition on 40.9%.
Seven and SBS recorded their highest primary and network shares last night, while Nine, 10 and ABC all had their lowest shares of the week.
Seven
Seven’s monster Saturday share started with a winning 6pm news bulletin on 886,000.
Coverage of the Dreamtime game between Richmond and Essendon was being played before a big crowd in Perth. The pre-match AFL audience on Seven and 7mate was 549,000 that lifted to 675,000 for the match. Essendon managed to lead for part of the final quarter, but somehow still managed to lose by 39 points.
Nine
Nine News was on 834,000 with A Current Affair keeping 547,000 of that audience.
The second week of David Attenborough’s A Perfect Planet was on 326,000 after launching with 417,000.
The movie Fast & Furious 7 then did 195,000.

The Dog House barked loudest for 10 with 316,000 after 332,000 a week ago.
An episode of The Savoy followed with 185,000.
ABC
The Durrells was down a little, dipping below a quarter of a million to 237,000.
Sanditon then plumbed a third successive low with 175,000 tuning in.
SBS
The World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys was on 157,000.
Australia’s Biggest Singalong then did 148,000 with Julia Zemiro and Miranda Tapsell encouraging participation from the audience.
