Tennis dominated TV ratings last night. There were over 1.8m Australians watching TV after midnight as Ash Barty became the first Australian woman to win at Wimbledon in 41 years.
The victory pushed Nine’s Saturday share to 29.5%, well clear of Seven in second spot on 18.5%.

The metro audience watching Wimbledon averaged 1.39m. The average watching in regional markets late was 461,000.
The biggest average audience watching the tennis was 508,000 in Sydney with 429,000 in Melbourne.
Earlier in the night Nine News was on 980,000. A Current Affair Saturday did 629,000.
David Attenborough’s Life in Colour was on 367,000.
Seven
Seven News was in second place at 6pm with 883,000.
Saturday Night Football saw St Kilda find some form against favourites Brisbane with 429,000 watching. The Melbourne AFL audience was 216,000 with 78,000 disappointed viewers in Brisbane.

Another rough Saturday with primary share just making it to 5%.
10 News First ranked at #11 on Saturday with 340,000.
The network’s only other show in the top 20 was a repeat of The Dog House on 264,000.
Two repeat episodes of Bondi Rescue were each close to 160,000.
ABC
The Durrells was again just over 300,000.
The British period drama Belgravia then made its FTA debut with 264,000 tuned in.
SBS
The first 30 minutes of SBS World News drew the channel’s biggest audience with 186,000.
The News was narrowly ahead of Stage 14 coverage of the Tour de France with 173,000 flicking between the cycling and the tennis.
