TV ratings Saturday: It was the last night of Olympic competition at Tokyo 2020 before the Closing Ceremony on Sunday evening. No Gold on Saturday, but Bronze and Silver for Australia which secured Seven another TV ratings victory.
Seven has ended the second week of Olympic competition with a winning network share of 53.0% and a primary share of 37.0%.

The primary channel, 7mate and 7TWO at different times and 7plus all the time offered many highlights across many sports on Day 15 of Olympic Games competition.
The channel’s second-biggest audience across the day was 1,340,000 watching the Seven News at 6pm
The evening highlights were the Boomers winning a Bronze medal against Slovenia. Late on Saturday night Nicola McDermott won a silver medal in the high jump. After the competition finished last night Andy Maher and Lisa Sthalekar hosted the final Shinya with Andrew Gaze who recalled the long journey Australian men’s basketball had been on to last night’s victory.
The metro numbers for the various sessions on Seven were:

The first game of the Bledisloe Cup series had 304,000 watching with a 5pm start AEST on 9Gem.
Nine News did 859,000 followed by A Current Affair on 245,000.
Saturday Night NRL screened on Nine as the season draws to a close with 266,000 watching Storm pull ahead of the Sea Eagles in the second half.

10 News First was the only entry in the top 20 with 308,000 at 5pm.
A Dog House repeat was next best on 224,000.
ABC
ABC News snuck into the top 10 on 605,000.
The next biggest audience was 406,000 watching the various state Coronavirus updates on Saturday morning.
In the evening The Durrells was on 292,000.
SBS
SBS World News started on 180,000 at 6.30pm and then dropped to 129,000 at 7pm.
The third week of Hemingway then did 94,000.
