Vogue Australia editorial director Edwina McCann today announced key partnerships and the program of events for the sixth annual Vogue Codes.
Vogue Australia, in partnership with Optus, will present Vogue Codes 2021 as a series of live and virtual events running from 26 May through to 29 July to empower future female innovation.
Vogue Codes 2021 returns with a new program of events and a line-up of local and international speakers to connect women with the digital innovators, thought leaders and entrepreneurs who are influencing the technology landscape globally.
Edwina McCann said: “Vogue Codes is our campaign to see women empowered by technology and we remain firmly focused on female leadership and entrepreneurship, and on the skills needed for the next generation of technology leaders to shine.
“This year’s program of events is a great mix of live and virtual events, making it easier than ever to engage, network and spark new ideas. The Vogue Codes Summit returns to a live event in a refreshed format and for the first time we are also focusing on regional areas, with the launch of Vogue Codes Country, targeting working women looking to remain corporately connected.
“As we move into our sixth year of the campaign I’m so pleased to announce our exciting new partnership with Optus for Vogue Codes 2021. The time is right to boldly push forward and inspire women with a sense of optimism and opportunity, so that together we can shape a more meaningful, fair and aspirational future.
“We’re also delighted to have Audi and Estee Lauder return as our supporting partners again this year. Together, we are all committed to making this a highly successful campaign which really makes a difference.”
Optus head of marketing Melissa Hopkins said: “At Optus we feel strongly about investing in our female talent, particularly in the field of STEM, because achieving gender diversity and inclusivity leads to world-class products and results.
“We’re proud of the opportunities our partnership with Vogue Australia has created, and optimistic about the progress we can continue to lead as we look forward to a future where opportunities are based on talent, not gender.”
Vogue Australia’s global first Vogue Codes initiative was established in 2016 in answer to a gender imbalance in the technology industry with the aim of inspiring more women to pursue careers in tech-related industries.
