VMLY&R has announced it has been appointed as the full-service creative agency for Queensland University of Technology (QUT) following an extensive tender process.
This new partnership leverages the full breadth of VMLY&R’s service offering, including brand, creative, digital experience, and content.
Adam Kennedy, managing director of VMLY&R in Brisbane, said: “We’re delighted to partner with QUT and look forward to working on such a highly regarded brand; one which provides transformative education, student experiences and research.
“Evolving and growing QUT’s brand across the entire student journey is a once in a generation opportunity for us.”
Xavier Amouroux, executive director, marketing and communication at QUT, added: “We have found in VMLY&R a partner that will deliver cutting-edge creative and digital thinking, and also has the right cultural fit with our team, partners and the wider university. We are looking forward to working in partnership with them.”
This client win comes after VMLY&R Brisbane revealed it was appointed to deliver the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Emblems and the supporting visual brand strategy.
The Brisbane-based brand, creative and design agency delivered the winning bid with a consortium of majority Queensland-based agencies.
Andrew Liveris, president of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, said the Organising Committee was impressed with the experience of VMLY&R and the consortia, having worked on Sydney, London, Rio de Janeiro, Nagano, Salt Lake City, Milano Cortina and Atlanta Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, along with many other mega sport events and brands.
VMLY&R managing director Kennedy said they are looking forward to being part of such a critical step forward for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“We are honoured and humbled to be able to play this important role in setting the brand strategy and visual identity for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We know how important this opportunity is to the people of Brisbane, Queensland, and Australia.” Kennedy added.
