Val Morgan Digital has expanded its commercial and editorial teams with several new hires covering its suite of brands: The Latch, PopSugar Australia, Thrillist Australia, and Fandom.
Over the last three months, eight new hires across Melbourne and Sydney have joined the team, each bringing unique and valuable experience.

Since its inception, Val Morgan Digital’s presence has grown significantly across Melbourne where 20% of its editorial and commercial team members are based.
“One of our key objectives this year was to extensively broaden our presence both commercially and editorially across Melbourne, and through our new hires we’ve been able to achieve this goal.” adds Bardas.
The appointments include:
Angela Law joins as branded content and shopping editor. Before relocating to London and becoming editor at PopSugar UK, Angela cut her teeth at Urban List, where she managed the Sydney edition of the site.
Allison Charles joins as senior account manager, bringing more than a decade of media sales experience, having previously led teams at Fairfax Media and Pacific Magazines working across digital content.
Sangeeta Kocharekar joins as lifestyle editor and has worked as a digital writer at Nova Entertainment and Daily Mail, and, most recently, held positions as editor of Junkee’s The Upsider and commercial content editor of News Corp’s Escape and Delicious.
Alana Young, joins as gaming producer from Junkee, where she helped pivot AWOL from a travel site to a lifestyle site at the start of the pandemic. Most recently, she worked as a creative producer on Junkee’s native team.
Kaitlan Fletcher joins as agency partnerships manager and has previously worked at Nine as Partnerships Manager before moving to Fabulate.
Katie Taylor has made the switch to Val Morgan Digital and joins as agency partnerships manager after a long and varied career as a creative television producer, specializing in Content Partnerships, Sponsorship and Integration across programming such as MasterChef, The Bachelor and Bachelorette, I’m A Celebrity, The Voice, and Love Island.
Kevin Armendariz joins as agency partnerships executive after roles at Mindshare, Zenith, and most recently Nova Entertainment.
Basmah Qazi Formerly the senior content editor at Over60, joins as entertainment producer. Basmah has extensive experience covering entertainment, lifestyle and news stories. She has previously written for the Daily Mail.
