After months of speculation, Seven has finally confirmed two new gigs for Dr Chris Brown, which are both set to air on the network in 2024.
The first appointment will see the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here presenter produce and host a new, untitled adventure series that will take in “some of the most mind-blowing scenery on the planet, all in pursuit of the ultimate animal encounter in the experience of a lifetime.”
He will also front Seven’s new series Dream Home, an inspiring new renovation competition that will see everyday Australians have their houses transformed.
Chris Brown said: “To be able to bring my world of animals to life in an original, adventurous and breathtaking way truly excites me.
“I can’t wait for the world’s wildlife and the search for Australia’s best Dream Home to land in our lounge rooms in 2024.”
Both shows will begin production later this year.
It was announced in February that Brown was leaving Network 10 to join rival Network Seven in July. The TV personality had been with 10 for fifteen years but will be returning to Seven where he started his career on Harry’s Practice two decades ago.
On the announcement, Brown said, “I’m not entirely sure my old access pass works, but once we get over that hurdle and I’m back from the jungle, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into some exciting new projects in the second half of the year and beyond with Seven.”
Seven West Media managing director and chief executive officer, James Warburton, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Chris back to Seven. It’s been too long.
“Chris is one of the most popular and recognised people on Australian TV, bringing warmth, intelligence and a great sense of humour to everything he does. We can’t wait to have him on board and to announce the great new content he will star in.”
