Nine kept it hands firmly on the TV ratings trophy for Week 10. The network ranked #1 every night across the week while it had the #1 primary channel on six nights.
Helping Nine to a win was the combo of Nine News, A Current Affair and 60 Minutes.
Also helping the channel to keep a hold on top spot were programs hosted by Andy Lee, Liz Hayes and Eddie McGuire.

ABC 680,000

Outstanding newcomer: Celebrity Gogglebox (10, 571,000), Would I Lie to You? Australia
The Gogglebox format has been a big hit with Australian audiences. It continues to perform well for 10 despite being available to Foxtel subscribers for 24 hours before each episode later goes out on 10. The one-off Celebrity edition worked for both channel partners, although clearly it’s tough for 10 that it can’t provide the episodes on its 10 play platform. As both Nine and ITV displayed this week, on-demand viewing is now a key part of their strategy.
Would I Lie to You? Australia, like Gogglebox, is also produced by Endemol Shine Australia. The former launched well too this week with the audience close to half a million which is a win for an overnight number these days.
Seven: Network 25.7% (26.7%), Primary 17.9% (19.2%), 7TWO 3.5% (3.3%)
Seven News Sunday and the first half of its weeknight 6pm bulletin both averaged over 1m.
The channels next best were two familiar faces – Dancing with the Stars: All Stars on 605,000 and Home and Away on 517,000.
Two other programs had audiences better than 400,000 – Better Homes and Gardens on 427,000 and the Tuesday episode of SAS Australia on 422,000.
Nine: Network 31.3% (30.3%), Primary 23.5% (22.2%), Gem 2.4% (2.6%)
Nine News Sunday ranked #1 for the week with 1,105,000.
Married At First Sight cracked 1m overnight on Sunday with 1,008,000 with two other episodes close to 950,000 and a fourth for the week on 887,000.
A big week of news stories saw A Current Affair climb again, this week it was on 709,000 up from 638,000 the week prior.
Two other shows helping Nine in primetime were The Hundred with Andy Lee on 443,000 (407,000) a week ago, and Under Investigation with Liz Hayes on 420,000 (411,000 a week ago).
Eddie McGuire continues to do the heavy lifting at 5pm with Hot Seat on 508,000 in its 5.30pm half hour. The program remains neck-and-neck with Seven’s late afternoon offering The Chase in Sydney and Melbourne.
10: Network 16.1% (15.8%), Primary 9.8% (9.8%), 10 Peach/10 Bold 2.9% (2.7%)
For a change 10 had a different top program in its channel rankings. Two episodes of Australian Survivor (500,000 and 463,000) still made the top four, but there were two newcomers this week.
The channel’s most-watched, as noted above, was the first Australian taste of Celebrity Gogglebox, closely followed by Would I Lie To You? Australia.
First Dates Australia backed up this week with 374,000 after launching a week ago with 334,000.
The weeknight episodes of The Project 7pm averaged 343,000, down from 369,000 despite some big news stories dominating the week.
ABC: Network 18.7% (18.6%), Primary 12.6% (12.9%), ABC News 3.7% (3.4%)
The numbers were steady week-on-week, although ABC News continued to creep higher with the 7pm Monday-Friday bulletins averaging 680,000.
The broadcaster’s other show over 600,000 was Hard Quiz on 637,000.
7.30 and Australian Story were both on 580,000.
Four Corners cracked half a million and Media Watch and Mad as Hell were just under that mark.
SBS: Network 8.0% (8.6%), Primary 4.6% (4.8%), Viceland 1.3% (1.5%)
Royalty rules at the broadcaster with The Royals: Keeping the Crown on 172,000.
