Total TV Ratings, September 23

Nine’s Rugby League Finals PF1, which saw The Parramatta Eels claim victory against the North Queensland Cowboys, was the top program on total TV, rising 13% to reach a total audience of 1,300,000.

The Chase on Seven enjoyed a lift of 3% to reach 794,000 people, followed by Better Homes and Gardens, rising 5% for a 658,000 viewer reach.

Baptiste on ABC had the most significant lift on overnight with 55% to reach an audience of 359,000.

Seven claimed a Friday night win with a 30% network share, 21.2% primary share and 4.3% multichannel share on 7TWO. Nine walked away with a 25.8% network share and 17.6% primary channel share. 

A Current Affair on Nine claimed the top spot for the night after the primetime news programs. The program went over the vaccine rules for cruises and met with a group of proud diggers rolling up their sleeves for the ultimate bush rescue, bringing in 491,000 views. 

Seven’s The Chase was Friday’s top entertainment program bringing in 409,000 viewers. With no Friday night AFL, 126,000 Melbournians tuned in to watch the Larry Emdur-hosted show. Later in the night, Better Homes and Gardens saw Joh and Pete visit a former smash repair business that has been transformed into a beautiful home, clocking 375,000 views. 

On ABC, Gardening Australia reached 381,000 viewers as Tammy met with a passionate suburban grower to learn how to construct a terrarium. 

On 10, The Living Room saw Baz renew an old kitchen and dining area for a pair of grandparents, garnering 241,000 views.

Secrets of the Lost Liners was the most-watched program on SBS, with 139,000 views.

In a quiet night on subscription TV, the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup was the most-watched program on ESPN, bringing in 75,000 views. Unfortunately, Australia’s Opals suffered a heartbreaking 61-59 loss to China in the semi-finals. The team will now take on Canada tonight for a shot at bronze.

Sky News Live took out the second spot with Credlin, followed by Fox Sports 506’s Singapore Grand Prix Practice 1.
