Nine has won the night with a primary share of 22.6% and a network share of 29.9%. Coming out on top for multichannels was 7Two with a 3.5% share.
A Current Affair had 686,000 tune in as the show covered the regional community that has been forced to communicate via walkie talkies, and the push to legalise cannabis in Australia. The Block kicked off its Hallway Week – notoriously known around the show as Hellway Week. 773,000 tuned in as the drama of Omar and Oz’s disqualification was quashed, with the pair paying the extra $10,000 for the baby grand piano. Under Investigation with Liz Hayes launched its new season, telling 294,000 about the death of a top South Australian cop in 1981.
On Seven, Home and Away brought 458,000 to Summer Bay to start the night. Farmer Wants A Wife took a sad turn for Farmer Benjamin, with 486,000 tuning in as he left the show due to news about his grandmother’s declining health.
On the ABC, 7.30 interviewed Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil about the Optus data breach for 496,000 viewers. Australian Story told 438,000 about the firefighter Mick Tisbury, who found a solution for people exposed to a chemical leak, before 407,000 watched as Four Corners sat down for an interview with Opposition Leader Peter Dutton.
10’s The Project (201,000 6:30pm / 303,000 7pm) covered the fallout of the Optus data breach, and interviewed Graham Norton. The Amazing Race said goodbye to Fliss and Tottie, with 332,000 watching as the pair left the race due to a twisted ankle on a jungle track. Have You Been Paying Attention? rounded out the night with a laugh for 506,000.
The highest rating show on SBS was Lighthouses: Building The Impossible, with 144,000 tuning in.
